Dabangg 2 (2012) - Movie Review

It wouldn't be wrong to say that Salman Khan flies on the sky of success and is the new king of Hindi movies. His Dabangg was a blockbuster which brought so many important awards for him as well. Besides, it has been believed that Dabangg Khan doesn’t need a powerful story for a film to work as his being there itself strong enough instead. Dabangg 2 is an important film for Arbaaz Khan too as his debut as a director.
Let’s find out whether Khan Brothers together are triumphant in creating the same magic of Dabangg with its sequel.

In the latest tradition of releasing sequels with no relevancy with its first part, Dabangg 2 continues from its first part. Chulbul Pandey (played by Salman Khan) is a family man now with a spouse Rajjo (played by Sonakshi Sinha). He has his father Prajapati Pandey (played by Vinod Khanna) and brother Makhi (Played by Arbaaz Khan).
Chulbul Pandey gets a transfer from Lalganj to Kanpur. The league is bigger now and the criminals are wicked although there are only two clashes for this Chulbul Pandey to maintain his position of an excellent cop in the town. At the same time as he is dangerous for the goons and helping hand for poor by notoriously robbing the wealthy people, he also makes a mess with Baccha Singh who is a giant political thug. Things get worse when he Robin Hood Panday kills Baccha Bhaiyya's darling brother Genda (played by Deepak Dobriyal) starting out anger among Baccha and his group that only feels like destroying Chulbul. The rest of the story centers around on the fight between Baccha and Chulbul.

Arbaaz Khan as a debut director made a good direction in Dabangg 2. There is no much change in the cast and plot and almost everything is retained from the first part. As a smart producer, Arbaaz Khan has put every attempted and tested element of Dabangg.

Salman Khan as Robin Hood Panday has produced multiple shades of his character. He is superb in his role while making romance, showing emotions, being humorous and blasting actions. Sonakshi Sinha has nothing much to offer to the sequel except for a few scenes along with some songs. She still looks perfect in pair with Salman Khan. Prakash Raj is a villain of the movie this time and has done justice with his role. Vinod Khanna, Niketan Dheer and Deepak Dobriyal are great in performing their characters. Kareena Kapoor looks awesome in her item number that seems unnecessarily added in the movie. Sajid Wajid’s composition is good and sounds like a revision of the part one.

To sum it up, Dabangg 2 is an ideal and money-making movie which has showered bundles of millions on the produces and distributors. Hopefully it will bring lots of awards for Salman Khan all over again.
