Ajab Gazabb Love (2012) - Review

Vashu Bhagnani is a senior and one of the successful producers in Hindi cinema.  It is always fruitful in Bollywood to have a father as a film producer. Many celebrities have launched their sons or daughters such as Rakesh Roshan’s launched Hritik Roshan, Vinod Khanna introduced Akhsay Khanna and many more are in the list.  However Vashu Bhagnani seems to be on the top of launching attempts so far, as this is third time; he is re-launching his son Jackky Bhagnani with ‘Ajab Gazabb Love’.

Since Jackky Bhagnani’s last film F.A.L.T.U was a surprise hit, it may not be appropriate using ‘re-launch’ at this time.  On the other hand, it won’t be wrong to say that the movie is an obvious reflection of a great pleasure for the leading role to show the adoration of the father for his son.
‘Ajab Gazabb Love’ is a simple love story of Rajveer Grewal and Maduri. Rajveer is the beneficiary to a billionaire automobile empire. He possesses a devoted family. He has every resource of the plant. He is very happy with designing cars. Nidhi Subbaiah is playing Madhuri in ‘Ajab Gazabb Love’. She hates the wealthy people and believes that the rich use poor to become richer. Rajveer deeply falls in love with her.  As one can expect, she rejects his love. After getting distressed by her hate for rich people, Rajveer chooses to be a poor man.  He gives up everything and is determined to win her love.

‘Ajab Gazabb Love’ is a re-make of a Telugu super hit film Seema Tapakai. Sanjay Gadhvi, the successful director of movies Dhoom and Dhoom 2, has directed ‘Ajab Gazabb Love’. Kiron Kher and Darshan Jariwala are also in the cast of the movie. There is a good amount of humor element in the film too; however Vashu Bhagnani is not successful in presenting a good story.
‘Ajab Gazabb Love’ is a good deal with the great predictability.  The story is ordinary and has been repeated in every second love story film. Consequently viewers do not find any problem in guessing what is coming next.  Besides, the story is executed in very unprofessional way and it only gets the film to a certain predictive point.

Vashu Bhangnani has not missed any single opportunity to make ‘Ajab Gazabb Love’ a movie of a producer's son. There is too much focus on songs and dance and their shooting in pretty foreign locations. But all those elements do not add any appealing element in the movie.
Kiron Kher and Darshan Jariwala have fantastically played their roles in ‘Ajab Gazabb Love’.  Their acting is very funny and viewers cannot stop themselves from laughing every time they come on the screen.  Sajid-Wajid are the music composer of the movie, whose music is the only attraction of Ajab Gazabb Love.  However, choreography does not justify with the beauty of music and songs could be shot in better way.
To summarize, ‘Ajab Gazabb Love’ is an ordinary but decent time pass movie which does not seem bringing any great success for Jaccky Bhangnani’s career in bollywood.
